Changdeokgung, UNESCO World Heritage, The most unique Korean palace in Seoul

 Changdeokgung is the most unique Korean palace built in harmony with the beautiful landscape. Take a look at a true Korean beauty!

 

 Changdeokgung is a unesco world heritage site and one of the most well-preserved royal palaces from joseon dynasty founded in 1392 and lasted until 1910. It became the primary palace for about 270 years where 13 kings including the last monarch dealt with state affairs.

 

 Changdeokgung palace was designated as a unesco world heritage in 1997 and is regarded as a masterpiece of korean palace architecture where the buildings are perfect harmony with the natural settings. The main hall is injeongjeon which makes me feel like being the king of joseon. 3 gates in front of it are very unique and beautiful.

 

 

Donhwamun, the main gate of ChangDeokGung palace, is the oldest palace gate.

Unlike the other palaces, the buildings in ChangDeokGung are located to the east.

Geomcheongyo has statues of haechi and engraved goblins to ward off the evil spirits.

Geomcheongyo , a wide stone bridge, symbolizes purifying oneself who passes over it.

After p assing Jinseonmun Gate, two big gates come into sight in the distance.

Injeongmun served as the place for many national affairs like coronation ceremonies.
